Ava has moxie

I'm so proud of Ava and how independent and adventurous she is!  She is definitely her daddy's daughter.  She is rarely scared to try anything especially if it's an individual activity.  She's not so much into team sports yet.  

This weekend we went to cousin Lauren's roller skate party.  Ava has never roller skated but she went out there and at first she was just rolling in one place.  Once she got the hang of it we couldn't get her off the rink!  She was out there by herself going round and round.  It was the cutest thing and my heart swelled just seeing how determined she was and how much she was enjoying herself.

Brynn learned a few bad habits from Dad the day before.  Just before this video, a lady tried to cut us off and Brynn said "hey lady!  You eedeeut, get away from here!"

Mommy brag alert!

The other day at lunch Brynn blurts out "earth is a planet.  Pluto is a planet, Jupiter and Mars are planets too".   I did not burst her bubble by letting her in on the news that Pluto is no longer considered a planet, but is in fact a "dwarf planet". I'm sure she'll inform me of that fact soon.  Haha!

Then today Ava tells me that she got mad at Emma for removing a lady bug from its "natural habitat"

Ava has been doing so well in school.  I'm so proud of her!!  The teacher sent home a math assessment for me to have her do and she literally got a 100!  Not one mistake.   She really loves learning and I'm so happy about that.  Every night we lay in bed and talk about our day and she tells me all about her writing assignment, recess, who got time off from recess and what ever got her excited that day.  

Brynn usually spends that time telling me what she disliked about her lunch that day.  I didn't like the flavor, it was too spicy, it looked yucky.  Then she'll tell me what books Miss Melanie read and what art she did.

Easter Pictures

I took the girls on Friday to get their Easter pictures done.  It was a bit of a disaster.  Brynn didn't follow directions, hardly looked at the camera and Ava couldn't remember how to smile naturally.  I was lucky to get 3 semi-decent pictures of them together, but I'm still glad I got a few! 

Brynn's big girl bed

We converted Brynn's crib/toddler bed to a big girl bed for her birthday.  Her set converted to a twin. Gigi and I got her big girl bedding and meme got her the sheets for her birthday.  She is so happy with her bed!  I'm not used to that room with a big kid bed.  It's only had cribs in there for the last 4 years!
