I don't know what to think of this. My 10 week old likes to go to bed at 8 pm almost on the nose. As soon as 7:30 rolls around she starts getting grumpy and we have to go get ready for bed. Since that is also Ava's bed time we have the bedtime shuffle going on around here and we have to tag team to get them both down. She is still such an easy going baby! Her two favorite things in the world are ceiling fans (he's apparently a very friendly funny guy) and the iron work above our bed. Those two things get the biggest grins and coo's out of her.
She knows my voice and will turn to find me when she hears me talking. The other day she was in her co-sleeper and when she saw me walk in she threw her arms up and squealed with a big grin on her face. Melted my heart.

Ava is loving her summer camp and now begins all books with "Once Upon a time there was a story about Jesus" She's already been invited to a birthday party of one of her classmates. At night time we always say our night night prayer and then when it's over Ava says "thank you Jesus" and "what we thank Jesus for?" Then we go through a list of what we are thankful for. Ava always says mommy and daddy, Magnum and Biscuit, goes through the list of grandparents and then will throw in something funny like "for my rug" or "for my toddler bed". This week she thanked Jesus for her teachers at her old school, Jocelyn and Tameka. She doesn't forget a thing and asked me if I could invite them to her birthday party. She really misses them so we are going to stop by and visit soon.
She also enjoys the "who loves Ava" game. We go through all the grandparents, cousins, and friends. It's one of her favorite games. She loves to cuddle and often calls me in to my room to lay down and cuddle with her and watch cartoons. She'll cuddle up real close and say "mommy I lovin on you" What mom can resist a request like that?
A couple of weeks ago she had her first sleepover at Nana's house with cousin Trent. We went over to visit and when it was time to go she asked to stay and spend the night. She did great, didn't ask about us once, and then came home and all she would tell me about her visit was that she tooted in Nana's face and Nana laughed. Typical. I know my dad would have gotten a kick out of that one considering his penchant for "fart" humor. When we were all little he would give us kids an empty box at Christmas and when we would open it and ask where the present was, he would say in this funny voice "I tooted in your box" and everyone would laugh their fool heads off. We still talk about that to this day. So imagine my amusement now that Ava thinks tooting is the funniest thing ever.
