Neighbor Going Away party in Tiki

Well we are sad to say that next weekend our good friends/neighbors are leaving us to move to Oklahoma.  So our other good friends in the  neighborhood, Courtney and Charlie invited us all out to Tiki Island for a little going away party/birthday party for Christy. 

The kids had a blast and Ava practiced her swimming.  Brynn wasn't interested in swimming at all for some reason.  Too many people she said. She spent most of the time eating in the chair or playing games on the kindle.

American Girl Doll

Ava is totally into her American Girl Doll lately.  She dresses her, puts her to bed at night and we do her hair several times a day.  She has been driving me CRAZY about getting her clothes for her doll (18 inch doll clothes), so we finally got her some pajamas, a robe and some panties. If any of you are wondering what she wants for her birthday, that's it! Any American Girl doll accessories or clothes.  She wants a dresser, clothes and anything else she can do with her American Girl Doll. 

Brynn has been saying the funniest things lately as usual!  When we were at IronMan Texas watching a friend compete and Brynn saw a man in a speedo.  She was not at all amused and was completely baffled by it.  She looked at him in disgust and said "mommy, why that man is naked with some panties on?!"

Then yesterday she got diarrhea and when she told me about it she said "mommy my tooty throwed up"  haha!!  I remember when Ava was little and thought that diarrhea was throw up.

Last night Ava had a sleepover with her friend Emma (who moves next weekend, sniff sniff) and they got into a little tiff because Emma didn't want to do what Ava wanted to do.  This upsets Ava a great deal, so Brynn said to Ava "it's okay, you just need to say okay I will go play with my sister then and I will play with you Ava, it's okay.  I will play what you want to play"  Then she gives her a hug and says "come on, come to my room" 

Lately when Steve and I do anything Brynn doesn't like she tells us we are bad parents.  Steve was getting irritated with the girls the other day and Brynn told him " you're a BAD daddy, cuz your grumpy."  Then last night I was trying to get her to go to bed in her bed and she yelled "You're a BAD mommy!"  When I asked her why I was a bad mommy she stormed out of the room and said "Because you're boring!"

Graceful Gymnastics

Ava is doing really well in Tumbling!  She listens really well to her coaches (as seen in the video below) and has been quickly picking up.  Her cartwheel has improved greatly and I can't wait to see her progress this year.  She LOVES tumbling.  She is so tiny and dainty and looks like a little graceful ballerina out there on the floor.

My big girl got brave and decided on a whim to get her ears pierced.  We were at sweet and sassy and she said she was going to be brave.  She did it and she is soo proud of her new bling.  She picked aquamarine blue and they match her beautiful blue eyes.

Ava has moxie

I'm so proud of Ava and how independent and adventurous she is!  She is definitely her daddy's daughter.  She is rarely scared to try anything especially if it's an individual activity.  She's not so much into team sports yet.  

This weekend we went to cousin Lauren's roller skate party.  Ava has never roller skated but she went out there and at first she was just rolling in one place.  Once she got the hang of it we couldn't get her off the rink!  She was out there by herself going round and round.  It was the cutest thing and my heart swelled just seeing how determined she was and how much she was enjoying herself.

Brynn learned a few bad habits from Dad the day before.  Just before this video, a lady tried to cut us off and Brynn said "hey lady!  You eedeeut, get away from here!"
