Brynn was loving being the only child at home. My mom came over one day and she had both grandmas all to herself. Talk about Kid heaven!

Ava's first day of Kindergarten
The day started off smooth and ended just as well. Gigi came in for Ava's first day of school so we all walked Ava in to her classroom. She was up early, ate all of her breakfast and got dressed without a fuss. She wasn't even scared for us to leave her at school.
When I picked her up the car rider line took an hour! I asked her how her day was and she said "it was GREAT!" On Tuesday she took the bus from school to the after school program at Brynn's new daycare. She cried because she was upset that I didn't pick her up. She said " our house is right next to school, what took you so long?" Today she was all smiles and was feeling super cool that she got to ride a bus. We are considering letting her be a bus rider but I'm not sure if I'm ready for that yet!

gearing up for the school year
Ava has decided she wants to go back to gymnastics this year so we are going to take a break from dance and do gymnastics. I decided to not even bother with soccer this year since last year was an epic fail. Both girls will start swim year round so that next year they are completely ready for the water. Meanwhile Steve and I will be eating ramen noodles and riding our bikes to work until Brynn is out of daycare.
Brynny is in her "I do it myself" phase. Last week at the pool she finally decided she was going to do it herself. Even with her floatie on she has never allowed us to let her go, but last week she said "I do it myself" and floated around the pool with her sister like a champ. She no longer needed our help (as long as she had her floatie on of course).
Yesterday Ava was being extremely ugly to her sister so she got in trouble. Well Brynny did not like seeing her sister in trouble. She cried and cried and then and went to Ava, laid down next to her and gave her a hug and kiss, then cuddled up to her and said "I yuv you Ava" Then they laid there holding hands while they watched cartoons. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen!
The girls latest thing is to go in my room at night, turn off all the lights and just turn on their lanterns. Then they have us turn on scooby doo ghost mysteries and watch it in the dark. They love the spooky stories on scooby doo or "scooby doob" as Ava calls it. They are totally my daughters.
Last weekend we went shoe shopping for Ava for school. She got new tennis shoes and her very first pair of Sperry's (pink with sequins of course). She and her bestie Emma both had to get the exact same shoes, so they will be matching in Kindergarten. We are still very curious if they will end up in the same class. We have meet the teacher in a couple of weeks and next week I go in to sign up for the PTO. Thanks to my big sissy Brenda and Ava's cousin Lauren, we didn't have to shop for too many new clothes. They hooked us up with all kinds of cute gymboree hand me downs, so Ava is almost all set! Thanks my sweet sissy!!

Aunt Stacey
We are so excited for my sister in law Stacey! She was offered a position as the Director of a brand new Starbase school in California. Part of the deal was she had to join the National Guard and do training camp etc. She went through hell and back and was very involved in the building of the school and now it's open!
Check out the video below about her school and you will even see her in several of the clips (in Uniform of course). We are so happy for her and PROUD!
