More Birthday Pictures

Ava's 5th birthday!

Ava came into our room as soon as the sun came up on Friday and crawled up in bed with me.  Then she sat up and said "mommy I'm 5!  I'm 5!!!  I'm 5!!"   She was so excited it was her birthday.  That night we surprised her with a sleepover with Emma, ordered cheese pizza and had cake and presents.  Steve set up a tent for them complete with pillows and lanterns upstairs.

Yesterday we had a birthday party for her at the aquarium.  She and Brynn loved it!

Fun in the shade

They love Ava's new princess pool.  A good end to a very busy day of hustle and bustle at the aquarium for Ava's birthday party.  Mom and dad with a glass of wine on the patio while our babies play.

Brynn Loves

Brynn loves:

Digging in my jewelry box and putting on every piece of jewelry she can fit on her arms and fingers.

Little Einsteins!  I mean almost an obsession.

Putting things in their proper places.  She very often says "heeey dat not go dare" and moves it to its proper place and says "dare, dat go dare".

Going to "the office".  She grabs a bag, swings it over her shoulder, puts her baby in the stroller and she's off.  "I goin to da office"

Ice water.  She shakes her sippy cup and if there is no ice, she puts in her request.

Taking showers.  Both girls love the shower.

Riding in Ava's car seat.

Sushi Night

We took the girls to have sushi.  Of course they just had chicken and rice, but we were so impressed that they actually used the kiddie chopsticks!

Brynn's 2 year appointment and stats

Brynny had her two year check up today.  She is just about the same height Ava was at 2 years old and about 7lbs heavier.  She's trending to be about 5 foot 8.

Height:  36.75  92%
Weight: 32 lbs  90%

She looks great, did great and didn't even cry.  I was so proud of her and she was so proud of herself for getting a Brave sticker from the doctor.

I also had my annual physical today and got a referral to a surgeon.  Looks like I'm going to be getting my gallbladder removed in the next month or so.  I had a 5 hour long attack last sunday and it was NOT fun.

Magnum also had his annual appointment and shots today. He looks great but it sounds like we WILL be putting Biscuit on doggie prozac.  According to the vet we are doing everything we need to be doing to reduce her anxiety so now it's just up to the drugs.  She did say that Biscuits tendency to howl every time the girls cry is pack behavior.  Apparently she is merely alerting us that there something is wrong, very normal for pack animals and we are her pack.  Annoying as it is, I'm glad to hear she isn't a total lunatic.

She insisted on wearing her kitty slippers to the doctor.
