I can hardly take the cuteness that is Brynn with pigtails!
Not only is she heart stoppingly cute, but she now gives kisses and says "uv ooo". Today she said her name for the very first time. Unfortunately she has her 2nd ear infection and is on antibiotics :(.

Memorial Day Weekend Fun in the Sun
Ava loves to do projects so we try to do projects as much as possible. I got an old sheet and laid it out on the driveway for them. Then got some washable paint and let them have at it. They had a blast with it. Then I threw them in the tub and Ava loved how the paint turned the water red.
On Memorial day we hung out with our friends Erik and Christy and their kiddos. They have a huge blow up water slide that was a big hit. Brynn climbed up and went down the slide all by herself. She is a total climber! She can climb just about anything these days.
Brynn loves Emma because Emma is sweet to her and plays with her unlike Sissy
Look at those sweet little lips Brynny has
the girls eating ice cream
Ava is now sleeping at the foot of her bed because she doesn't want to disturb her "kids"

Destin Vacation
We just got back from our first family vacation. We had so much fun and the girls LOVED the beach. We could not get enough of the beach there and we loved our condo. It was so nice having a kitchen and a washer and dryer. The 12 hour drive was uneventful until about 10 minutes from the condo when Ava told us her mouth hurt and then puked all over herself. Bless her little heart! The rest of the week she would say "mommy Ava doesn't feel good, I have car sick" Needless to say we picked up some children's dramamine for the ride home. We can't wait to go back!

A truly Amazing Week
So my mother in law Irene inspired me to go on Ancestry.com and start my family tree. When my grandmother died I realized that I hadn't asked enough questions about our family. So my journey began...
As I started filling in the first branches of the tree and finding death certificates and census records I thought "this is freaking fascinating!" and then it dawned on me...I have spent countless nights up on the internet combing google and facebook for my baby brother who was given up for adoption when he was just 1 year old. I was 5, just about to turn 6 when he was born and only saw him once. My sisters and I have talked and talked, searched and searched with no luck. I realized that if I plugged in his first and middle name with his exact birth date in Houston, TX that maybe I might find something. Sure enough there was a hit! I found a census record for a family in Alvin that had a son named Justin Michael born on his exact birth date.
I sent it to my sister that night. We immediately dug further and combed facebook! I found his adopted mom and stepmother on facebook and from there my sister got up the nerve to call his mother. I was terrified that she would freak out! What if he didn't know he was adopted, or what if he knew and had no interest in finding his birth family. My sister called her and it was a match! She knew our mothers name, said they now live in Indiana and said she was so happy that we had found him and that he would be so happy to hear from us, so she gave my sister his number and the rest is history! They now call me detective Kelley and we sing the inspector gadget song...
He had no idea he had siblings and was in total awe and happiness to find out that he had 3 sisters!!! We have all talked on the phone or via text and messenger every night for a week. In June we are having a reunion and meeting him for the first time since he was a baby. Life could not be more complete and he could not be more perfect if we had designed him ourselves. haha! It's amazing the similarities too, uncanny.
Also in my search I've tracked my dads side of the family straight back to Ireland (turns out all of the Mungovan's in the United States are related) and Germany (grandmothers side) and my moms side all the way back to the 1500's! Her family goes back to Jamestown, VA and I almost peed myself last week when I realized that my 9th great grandmother is none other than Pocahontas and my 9th great grandfather is John Rolfe one of the 1st settlers from England!!! Who knew??!! Crazy, huh? So last weekend my brother got 3 new sisters and Pocahontas. Does it get any better? haha!!!
By the way Irene, I found your Hendrickson tree and copied it over to my family tree for Steve :) Truly fascinating.

Princess Party
Ava's cousin Lauren had a princess birthday party. Of course this was right up Ava's ally. They got to pick a princess costume, get their hair, make up and nails done.
Brynn at 13 months
Says:
Yuv ooo - Love you
Tee Too- Thank you (when you hand her something)
diiipoo- diaper
daddy
hi
bye
Ava
Katherine (a girl in her glass)
baba- biscuit
mama-magnum
dis dis- this this while pointing to something she wants
no no
bottool- bottle
too- shoe
Cheethe- cheese when you take her picture
Ball
Does the sign for eat, more, book and potty. Puts her finger up to her mouth and says "shhh"
She is also officially transitioned to whole milk and sippy cups and has officially outgrown her infant seat and moved to a convertible car seat. My big girl! Yay Brynn!
She loves being outside and playing and bringing Magnum his toys. She can also throw a ball and likes for us to play catch with her. If she doesn't get to do something she wants or you take something away from her she throws herself down on the ground and puts her forehead to the ground while screaming, then she'll get up and chase you until you give her what she wants.
